Kara M. Kruse is a managing partner at Tuohy Minor Kruse PLLC. She is an accomplished attorney with more than 25 years of experience, primarily focused on family law. Kara is a strong legal advocate yet understands the inherent emotional dynamic in each family law case—this combination allows her to be an effective representative in family law matters. Kara has experience with other aspects of the law, such as real estate and estate planning, which can be very important for family law clients whose cases require attorneys to know other legal fields.
Kara approaches each case on an individual basis, providing the client with information and choices. She identifies each client’s goals and gives them honest, practical advice on the best option for their particular issues.
As family law cases are rarely static, Kara knows when to adjust legal tactics as necessary, depending on case circumstances. Because Kara recognizes that she is dealing with peoples’ relationships that continue even after a particular matter is resolved in court, Kara will work amicably to resolve the case with the opposing attorney when conflicts are minimal and their position is reasonable. However, Kara also has the unyielding and dogged determination required to obtain a just result if her client’s interests are at risk. Kara’s ability to adapt to quickly changing circumstances allows her to achieve advantageous results for her clients.
Kara is known for her straightforward approach while providing clients with empathy, professionalism, and compassion.
Kara volunteers with Snohomish County Legal Services (SCLS), the primary agency in Snohomish County that provides free civil and domestic legal services to the indigent. Kara has also volunteered as a judge in Moot Court for competing high school teams.
