Attorney Alex M. Lawson
Alex M. Lawson is an associate at Tuohy Minor Kruse PLLC and is proud to be an LGBTQIA+-friendly attorney. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, Alex moved to the United States in 2000, first living in Rochester, N.Y., then Georgia, Massachusetts, and North Carolina, where she completed her law degree at University of North Carolina. In 2023, she made her way west to Seattle, and earned her state bar admission.
While in law school, Alex was very involved in supporting survivors of domestic violence and military veterans. She participated in the Domestic and Sexual Violence Clinic for a semester and spent two summers with the North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence, dedicating more than 100 hours of pro bono work. Alex is most proud of her work with the year-long Military and Veterans Law Clinic, where she argued at the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals.
In her free time, Alex takes road trips and hikes with her friends to explore more of the West Coast. She enjoys playing tennis, singing karaoke, going to the movies, writing, and competing in local bar trivia (she’s a three-time champion!).
